Express it, Confess it, Live It

Are we on our way to legalizing It?

Is society loosing its grip on the prohibition of smoking marijuana? As we know at one time alcohol and public drinking was in the same boat with marijuana.  The ban on drinking did not stop people from drinking and apparently the ban on marijuana does not stop anyone from smoking either.

First Bill Clinton smoked but didn’t inhale and became President and now Michael Phelps given a pass on a smoking charge.    Do you have to have swimfans to get away with smoking even after you admitted to participating in illegal activity? I thought a confession was considered evidence.  It is not like he is denying the allegations.

  • Exhibit A: Photo of suspect with a Bong — okay circumstantial at best
  • Exhibit B: Confession to mistake on international world stage T.V.

Leon Lott and the world have decided to use this as a photo opportunity to push the just say no campaign.  Hey that is great but I hope the next African American or Latino who gets a small possession charge (not intent to sale) will get the same opportunity (basically community service) to go around town telling people, hey I made a mistake, smoking is bad,  smoking causes embarrassment.

Hey all you public defenders please don’t miss the boat… here is a precedence for your ass.

Well tell me what you think are we on our way to legalizing it?

  • My opinion: I don’t care either way legal or illegal people are going to smoke it and with the economic situation, more people may opt to for a blissful vacation from their financial woes.
  • My opinion: If they do legalize it the government the big pusher will make all the money from taxes.
  • My opinion: When they do, if they do, it will be in the same boat as big tobacco. Law suits

Suit Number One: I got XYZ sickness from my addiction to it (after they put chemicals on it of course) Hey that is what they do why else would tobacco have chemicals on it.  It could be smoked all natural, but noooo,  chemicals make it better (meaning profitable).

Anyway here it is on blast….

remember don’t start smoking unless:

  1. you are in South Carolina in Leon Lotts district
  2. until you get  tons of swimfans and 8 metals to back  you up
  3. Oh and if you are too old to claim youthful exhuberance, say you had a bad childhood and you just wanted to recapture those lost moments…. that should cover it.

A-11 offense now has to play defense

Has the whole country gone soft… come on people stop inventing sports teams where we teach the kids that everyone wins and nobody loses.  It is not healthy for everyone to get a trophy just for showing up.  Are we losing our sense of earning your laurels?

Winning takes planning…. and planning  makes winners.

I am not the biggest sports fan on the planet but this debate really caught my eye.  A-11 offense used by Kurt Byran, the coach at Piedmont (Calif.) High School.

The complaint is that he is skirting the rules to win games.  Maybe I am crazy but isn’t that the point of competition to out smart your opponent without out right breaking the rules.  If you keep changing the rules because people don’t like loosing then why play.

It is my understanding that using the element of surprise is a good tactic initially, but what happens when the surprise wears off.  The name of the game is to study your opponent and come up with a defense for their offense.

Here is how the A-11 was explained

(full article link):

The rule allows players with jersey numbers 1-49 and 80-99 to be down linemen, and eligible pass receivers, in a scrimmage kick formation.   The A-11 (A11Offense.com) creators used an exception to the rule to have all of their players wear numbers 1-49 or 80-99, numbers reserved for receivers, and said if the numbering is allowed for scrimmage kicks it should be allowed for all offensive plays.  Referees working A-11 games, have not thrown flags for ineligible receivers and allowed the offense to proceed throughout the game.

So man on man coverage gets a little sticky when you don’t out right know who may be thrown the ball…. okay!  Play your best and study the pattern.  It is statistically true that after a few runs you will see some sort of pattern developing and you can bet no matter what number jersey a player is wearing if  he can’t catch the ball they most likely will not be throwing him the ball.

I was a tomboy growing up and played football on the block with guys in my neighborhood and the quarterback sneak was my favorite play… but maybe that is my problem I am bad to the bone and sneaky too. (lol)

Hey you whining coaches stop your bellyaching and get that chalkboard out and earn your paycheck. build a better mouse trap.  Come on guys do we really need two Federations at the high school level….
