Minimum wage/Maximum Wage

The topic up for debate is:

  1. Are we moving from capitalism to socialism?
  2. Does placing a cap on the amount of money one can earn on the top move us a step closer to socialism?
  • Socialism refers to a broad set of economic theories of social organization advocating state or collective ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and a society characterized by equal opportunities for all individuals with a fair or egalitarian method of compensation. [1][2]

If free market fails does that mean we just shift to the opposite end of the spectrum straight into socialism or is there a middle ground?

I think stating that we are moving to socialism maybe a bit extreme.  However, gradual progression towards any target is a step to be counted.  So we are always to be mindful to watch the actions that we are cooking up to ensure the pot does not boil over.

Now, that being said.  For those who take the bailout money: what can we say if  you borrow money you  must play by the rules of the lender, or don’t sign on the dotted line.

In a true free market system would the government be bailing out anyone?…..In a  capitalist society wealth and producing wealth is privately owned (right) so why do we have anyone asking for handouts (bailouts)?

Some argue bailing out the system is the problem and not a capitalistic point of view.  I have heard statements recently on talk radio that suggest we should leave well enough alone let the dust settle where it may and let the system correct its own errors.

Whew, I don’t know about that extreme either, it will take a strong nation to weather that storm and I don’t know if we have it in us.  However,  bailing out companies that mismanaged funds or could not cut the mustard is an extreme too.  Can we in this day in age of super big human intelligence find a middle ground?  Do we even look for middle ground?  Our society is based on some historic extremes have we become extremist of  glutenous behavior.  Does ever argument have to end in  divorce of the current issue.  Are we really a society that can only think  of extreme solutions.  Are we a    culture that suggest it is all or nothing?   Do we really believe we  can bailout ideas that don’t support their own weight?

Free market seems to exist more  with the small business owner because the market dictates his wealth.  He lives in a zone where  supply equals demand and his success is saved by his own ingenuity very little government intervention (some tax brakes).

So do I think there should be a cap or maximum wage?   (Maybe)

What I do think is this,  if  I lend you money you should take a salary cut until you pay me back and then you are free to earn as much as you want.  That’s my opinion based on what I have heard.  If you know differently enlighten us.

Legacy….. On your terms

Thank you Father…..

For today’s

  • Blessings noticed and unnoticed
  • Opportunity seen and unseen
  • Books, knowledge and wisdom
  • Family, friends, neighbors
  • Forgiveness and vengeance (God’s)
  • Awareness of who I am and loving it

Stand up and announce to the world

We should be proud of who we are…… that includes our greatness, shortcomings, and flaws, all of our being. Proclaim your name, it is special and you are unique.

Man’s greatest gift from God Adaptability

Everyday you can renew your soul you can improve on your spirit. Don’t use others judgment, evaluate yourself. Be real with yourself. Live up to your highest expectation of others. If your advise is good enough for them, then follow it yourself.

Don’t react to the worlds views. Lay a foundation of your views and act on that. You decide how your life goes.  You define yourself and your success.  You decide, you decide, you decide.

Reacting is different than acting. (Re) can be defined as the act of deciding to do over again. If you operate from the (Reactive mode) you are doomed to repeat that action produced until you decide not to do it again.  Decide on your life course and take action and watch the world react to you.

Admit it, sometimes it seems that we have been down this road before or had this same argument time and time again. That is because most of the time we may be reacting to the problem never really finding or searching for a solution. So take action. Act now. Don’t wait do it now… Lay down a foundation of your own views and live from your heart.

Legacy

I remember an interview with Jr. Gong about living up to his father’s legacy. He summarized it beautifully (Me and My Family, brothers and sisters, our family are his legacy).

Wow that is powerful because the world view is that the Marley’s have to prove themselves when they hit the stage or speak to the media or just live their lives. That statement says no matter what they do or how it turns out his very life full fills his father’s legacy.

Now that is living from the heart. That is not reacting to the worlds views and judgment.

So I say again…….

Be Proud Of Who You Are, Who You are becoming, Who you will be and……….

Live Life From Your Heart

Let The World Know Who You Are

Let them see the Legacy you have for mankind

Peace, Blessings, Abundance, and Bliss

Safety for $2.50….Lemon or Bargain

Lemon or Bargain News Flash Video Link

This video news clip is about the start of a National database that will require dealers, Dept. of Motor Vehicles and Insurance companies to record all transactions (purchase, claims and incidents) about cars into a national database.  How is this different from other databases.  It will be a national legal requirement with penalties, in hopes that reporting will become more accurate.

It is estimated that last year 40 million people considered or purchased a used car.  The numbers are expected to soar.  As we consider this option let’s not skimp on safety use any and all of the databases available to ensure you are getting a great deal and all the safety that you can afford and promised.

A time of economic uncertainty is not the time to skimp on everything. I realize that we have to tighten our belts or do we. Maybe we are just purging off the excessive nature of glutenous behavior. However you see it, there are a few things that you should never skimp on…

1. Spiritual well-being

Develop how you think and what you stand for. The world is fast paced, so slow it down and meditate on the positive aspects of your life. Check in with your creator to ensure you are walking a path that leads you somewhere. Send out good intentions to those you love and those you don’t…. Ask that prosperity engulf your enemies into such bliss they forget to cause you misfortune.

2. Health and Wellness

Your body is your temple and dwelling place. Get checkups. Remember prevention is better than any cure. Become even tempered, even in actions and watch your body come back to life…. if you rest 2 hours give your body an even exchange of activity. Notice I did not say workout. I said activity. However, if you care more about your furniture in your external dwelling place (you house) than the food you put in your body, and the ratio of  even exchange of  rest and activity you give your body;  can you include me in your will because I love inheriting nice things.

3. Emotions

Let people know how you feel… you will feel better and if they are your real friends they will understand your temporary moments of venting out insanity. I speak from experience on both sides of the fence. Don’t leave things unsettled and buried believing that you can handle it in your own psyche, because when it explodes (and it will) the clean up is much worse than if you had just spilled the beans about how you feel in the first place.

4. Safety

Protect your most valuable asset “You” .

Don’t practice safety…..live safely.  Get regular check ups.    Investigate and question potential partners (mental and sexual). Evaluate your car monthly for potential hazards (tire pressure, fluids, etc.). When purchasing a car get as most safety as you can afford. Have a safety plan for at home, work and definitely in your car.

Here we go

here is where I might get slammed but, its my thoughts and you can feel free to interject your thoughts on the matter and if the argument is compelling enough… who knows you may change the universal way of thinking.  No man is an island but one man can change his world and if the idea and change is compelling it can change the entire world.

I am not big on government intervention anymore.  I as a psychology major,  I developed a soft spot for cultural and social programming.    used to be on the who will give little Johnny a hug, band wagon.  My answer was we need to  give him more social programs (funded by the government).

At the time I was dating a guy in Econ who disputed that view to the point it is a private joke between the two of us even to this day.  He will be happy to know I have changed my view point ever so slightly.  Little Johnny still needs that hug.  However, we should not depend on the government to hug little Johnny that is our job (the people, his neighbors, church, teacher and merchants in his area).  However I love these two interventions because they will help to save lives.

  • State Car Inspections
  • National database of car information

Recently, my sister told me about a teacher was driving and her  tire blew out and the car flipped over several times…. God bless her she walked away with a few bumps and bruises, but alive and recovering.  Wow, I thought that must have been scary.

Right now I live in Virginia (yep the commonwealth state),  and we have to have our cars inspected every year, cost $15 dollars I think and I am always praying I pass.  Although you can squeak by on some of the infractions, they are hardest on the tires and brakes and I am glad.

In a world of government intervention this is one that makes me feel a little bit safer.  I know it should be a choice and we hope people would voluntarily submit to scrutiny with glee, but even now there are probably people driving around ducking the inspection line and avoiding being pulled over and fined with a ticket.  so hope springs eternal (right) be safe by living safely.

enjoy the news flash

May this find you in

Peace, Abundance and Bliss
